Job Description:
Start ASAP | Temporary (Minimum 6 Weeks, Potential up to 4 Months)
Hours: 8:00-16:00, Monday to Friday
A primary school in the Bradford/Bingley area is seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretaker to provide essential site support during a period of long-term sickness cover. This role is to start immediately and will run for at least 6 weeks, with the strong possibility of extending up to 4 months depending on the needs of the school.
?? About the RoleYou will be responsible for ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well-maintained. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong practical skills and a proactive approach to keeping a school running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
*Opening the school each day alongside another member of staff
*Carrying out general maintenance and basic repairs
*Ensuring compliance checks are completed and recorded
*Supporting the smooth running of the school site as needed
Requirements
*Relevant experience as a caretaker, site supervisor, or maintenance professional
*Experience within a school setting is desirable but not essential.
*Strong practical skills and a good understanding of health & safety
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, if you do not have one, you must be willing to apply
