Schools across Northampton are looking for caring, dedicated and resilient SEN Support Assistants to join their teams. We partner with a wide range of inclusive Northampton schools that put pupil wellbeing and individualised support at the centre of their approach. These settings provide structured, nurturing environments where SEN staff can make a meaningful impact every day. You’ll be part of supportive teams helping students with SEMH needs, ADHD, autism and a variety of learning differences reach their full potential.
�? What You’ll Be Doing
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will:
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
*Help implement personalised learning plans
*Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication and social development
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
*Promote positive behaviour and consistency in the classroom
No two days will be the same - you’ll be helping pupils grow in confidence, independence and resilience.
�? What We’re Looking For
*Patient, calm and reliable individuals
*A genuine interest in SEN support and child development
*Willingness to undertake specialist training (e.g., autism awareness, SEMH strategies)
*A positive mindset and motivation to improve outcomes for young people
*Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
?? Desirable (but not essential)
*GCSE/O Level or equivalent
*A driving licence (useful for certain school locations)
