Job Description:
English Teachers Wanted in and across Chester!
Join our network of English Teachers (ECT’s/ experienced). We are currently placing specialists into secondary schools across Chester. Whether you’re looking to join a team in Hoole, Upton, Blacon, or Huntington, we have opportunities waiting for you-starting ASAP or timed perfectly for after the Easter break.
Role type: Full or Part-Time and Long-Term or Short-Term.
Key Duties:
*Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all ability levels.
*Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive environment.
*Mark student’s work regularly and provide constructive feedback.
*Track student progress and use data to inform your future lesson planning.
*Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including GCSEs.
*Collaborate with department colleagues to share best practices and resources.
*Attend staff meetings, departmental briefings, and professional development days.
*Communicate with parents regarding student achievement and areas for growth.
*Supervise students outside of the classroom, such as during break or lunch duties.
Requirements:
*QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
*Good communication skills and subject knowledge.
*A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
