Location: North London, FE College
Hours: Part-time
*Tuesday: 9:00–17:00
*Wednesday: 9:00–15:30
*Thursday: 9:00–17:30
Pay Rate: £16 per hour (PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP
Join our team at a Further Education College in North London as a Support Worker for Looked After Children (LAC). This role is essential in providing supervision and support, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and assisting with educational tasks.
Day-to-day of the role:*Provide close supervision and support for Looked After Children throughout the college day.
*Ensure a safe and supportive environment on campus.
*Assist with educational tasks and classroom activities.
*Facilitate communication between students and educational staff.
*Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Experience supporting young people, particularly those in care or with additional needs.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Commitment to supporting student development and well-being.
*Enhanced DBS for both Adult and Child workforce is required (on the Update Service).
