Are you an experienced Buyer who thrives on sourcing high quality suppliers and improving supply chain performance? Our client, a growing and forward thinking organisation based in Crawley, is looking for a confident Buyer to join their team in a strategic, performance driven role.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, ownership, and the chance to directly influence supplier standards and long term value.
Key Responsibilities*Identify, source, and assess new suppliers to support business growth and ensure competitive advantage
*Perform regular supplier performance reviews, tracking KPIs such as delivery accuracy, quality, cost, and responsiveness
*Take accountability for supplier performance, driving continuous improvement and corrective actions
*Lead contract and pricing negotiations to secure favourable terms
*Build strong, long-term relationships with both new and existing suppliers
*Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, and planning teams to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation
*Analyse supplier data and market trends to inform strategic decisions
*Ensure compliance with procurement policies and maintain accurate supplier documentation
Skills & Experience*Proven experience as a Buyer with a strong supplier management focus
*Confident evaluating supplier capability and performance
*Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
*Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive improvement
*Strong organisational skills and a proactive, accountable approach
*ERP/MRP experience desirable
