Job Description:
Our Client, a Greater Manchester council, is seeking a Children’s Team Manager to join their Front Door Team.

Responsibilities of this role:
*Receive and screen referrals from professionals and the public
*Assess risk and determine appropriate intervention levels
*Undertake Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries
*Collaborate with multi-agency partners (e.g., police, health, education)
*Attend and contribute to strategy discussions and MARAC meetings
*Provide consultation and safeguarding advice to professionals
*Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports
*Escalate concerns and initiate child protection procedures
*Work within a duty rota to ensure consistent service delivery
*Apply strengths-based and relational approaches in practice
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience

*Monitor workloads, allocate cases effectively, and maintain clear systems to ensure compliance with statutory guidance and local procedures.
*Use data and performance insights to drive continuous improvement, identifying areas for development and embedding best practice within the service.
*Promote a culture of reflective practice, professional curiosity, and child-centred decision-making across the team.
