Qualified Social Worker, Safeguarding Team
Pay rate to £32.71 per hour
Contract role
Vitalis are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to work in a Safeguarding Team in Worcestershire Council.
This role offers a chance to lead complex assessments, make safeguarding decisions, while positively impacting the lives of children and families. Key Responsibilities Undertake complex assessments of children and families, determining levels of risk and need. Make timely safeguarding decisions to ensure children’s welfare is prioritised. Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies. Produce clear, outcome-focused reports and care plans. Attend multi-agency meetings, conferences, and court proceedings. Participate in audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities. Ensure compliance with statutory guidance, Worcestershire County Council policies, and professional standards. Support service development initiatives and contribute to team meetings and training sessions. Networking Opportunities: Collaborate with multi-agency partners, expanding your professional connections. Variety in Work: Work on a diverse range of cases, keeping every day interesting and rewarding. Essential Requirements: Registered Social Worker with Social Work England. Car driver. Significant post-qualifying experience in children’s social care, including safeguarding and assessment. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and Working Together to Safeguard Children. Excellent assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills. Proven leadership, mentoring, and case management abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Desirable Experience in duty and assessment or "front door" services. Experience presenting cases in court. Knowledge of multi-agency safeguarding arrangements and early help services.
