Teaching Assistant - Primary TA - Autism Support (Full-Time) | M24 Middleton| Start ASAP
Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s lives?
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Middleton area. This full-time role is to start ASAP, supporting children with mild Autism (ASC) across Key Stages.
Location:
Middleton, Greater Manchester (M24)
Start Date:
Immediate / ASAP
Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday, term time only
The Role:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with mild Autism
* Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement individual learning plans
* Encourage social interaction, communication, and emotional development
* Use a patient, nurturing and structured approach to help children thrive in the classroom
* Support children in accessing the curriculum and promoting positive behaviour
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children with Autism or additional needs (school or care settings welcome)
* A calm, empathetic and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
Ideal for:
* Experienced Teaching Assistants
* Psychology or Education graduates
* SEN Support Workers or Learning Mentors
* Anyone with a background in childcare or youth support looking to work in education
