A secondary school in South Birmingham B28 is seeking a reliable and experienced school site Assistant to join their team. As a site assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the school premises, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Your new role
Premises Maintenance
*Ensure the school’s premises are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
*Carry out daily checks on the premises, identifying and reporting any issues or defects.
*Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, repairs, and minor adjustments.
Health and Safety
*Assist with ensuring the school’s compliance with health and safety regulations.
*Identify and report potential hazards and take steps to mitigate risks.
*Participate in health and safety training and drills.
Security
*Monitor the school’s premises, ensuring the security of students, staff, and visitors.
*Respond to security breaches or incidents, following school procedures.
*Control access to the school, including managing keys and access cards.
What you’ll need to succeed
*Experience working in a school site team is essential.
*Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting and carrying.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Reliability and punctuality.
