The Opportunity
Academics are recruiting for a motivated and caring ASD Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Basingstoke. This role offers a fantastic chance for an ASD Teaching Assistant to take on a meaningful position supporting a child on a 1:1 basis and contributing to their overall development.
Role Responsibilities
*Provide dedicated 1:1 support as an ASD Teaching Assistant for a pupil with mild ASD
*Observe, track, and report on the pupil’s academic and social progress
*Support the class teacher in maintaining a positive and structured learning environment
*Build strong relationships with pupils, promoting inclusivity and equal learning opportunities
*Encourage engagement, independence, and interaction with peers
What We’re Looking For
*An understanding of SEN and potential barriers to learning
*Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting
*A patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude
*Interest in pursuing or developing a career as an ASD Teaching Assistant
