Support Worker – Criminal Justice
Location: Taunton, with travel across nearby areas
Salary: £25,685 per year
Hours: 37.5 per week

Our client is looking for a dedicated and motivated Support Worker to join their Criminal Justice service based in Taunton. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with complex needs, supporting them to build stability, independence, and safer futures.
You’ll work closely with criminal justice partners and a range of external agencies to ensure each client receives high-quality, personalised support tailored to their circumstances.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates will need:
• A valid UK driving licence and use of a vehicle for work (business insurance required)
• Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours
• Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
*Build strong, effective working relationships with external partners, including criminal justice services
*Carry out thorough needs and risk assessments to produce tailored, client-centred support plans
*Provide clear advice, guidance, and practical support, enabling clients to access essential services and accommodation
*Support new clients entering the service, ensuring they fully understand their rights, responsibilities, and licence conditions
*Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and long-term stability
