Sustainability Consultant & BREEAM Assessor
Location: Wiltshire
Working Policy: Hybrid

Are you motivated to advance sustainability within the built environment? Keen to play a hands-on role in supporting net zero ambitions and enhancing building performance? This is an excellent opportunity for a Sustainability Consultant & BREEAM Assessor to join our client’s expanding Energy & Sustainability team. Based in their Wiltshire office, you’ll collaborate closely with MEP and Building Physics specialists on a wide range of impactful projects.

Day-to-Day Activities*Partnering with clients and design teams to deliver environmental certifications and sustainability advice
*Producing energy strategies, sustainability reports, and resource efficiency studies
*Coordinating project delivery, including tracking progress and financial performance
*Maintaining and developing client relationships to support repeat business and new opportunities
*Keeping up to date with industry developments and sharing insights internally
*Mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate
*Supporting life cycle and embodied carbon assessments when required
Core Responsibilities*Leading the delivery of certification processes such as BREEAM and HQM, working alongside project stakeholders
*Contributing to a varied project portfolio across multiple sectors and client types
*Delivering sustainability services including planning support, energy assessments, and water/resource analysis
*Managing projects end-to-end, including programme coordination, budget oversight, and reporting
*Assisting with business development activities, including bids and proposal preparation
*Building strong, lasting relationships with clients at both project and strategic levels
*Monitoring changes in legislation and sustainability frameworks, sharing key updates with the team
*Providing guidance and oversight to more junior team members
*Contributing to whole-life carbon assessments where relevant
Skills & Experience Required*Proven experience delivering BREEAM or similar sustainability certifications, achieving strong project outcomes
*Qualified BREEAM Assessor (required), with BREEAM AP seen as an advantage
*Awareness of other frameworks such as HQM, WELL, SKA, Fitwel, CEEQUAL, DREAM, or equivalent
*Good understanding of net zero strategies, LETI guidance, and UK regulatory requirements
*Experience supporting or leading sustainability consultancy services across project stages
*Exposure to embodied carbon or LCA work is beneficial
*Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across concurrent projects
*Strong organisational and time management skills
*Confident communicator, both written and verbal
*Genuine enthusiasm for sustainability and environmental performance
