Castleford (Hybrid Working)

We are delighted to be supporting a growing and dynamic business in Castleford as they look to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
This role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home) alongside excellent benefits and flexibility, including consideration for a 4-day working week for more experienced candidates.
The Role:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring timely payments and reconciliations across multiple systems and entities.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
*Manage invoice approvals in line with company procedures
*Handle international invoices
*Maintain accurate records of creditors and outstanding liabilities
*Prepare and process payment runs, including international payments
*Manage corporate credit cards
*Ensure all payments are authorised and recorded correctly
*Process and review employee expenses
*Manage expense platforms
*Ensure compliance with company expense policies
*Perform regular creditor reviews
*Maintain supplier accounts and resolve queries
*Support GRNI (Goods Received Not Invoiced) processes
*Reconcile Shopify and other payment gateways
*Assist in tracking and reporting online sales
About You:
*Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Good understanding of accounts payable processes
*Proficient in Excel and finance systems
*Strong organisational and time management skills
