Teaching Assistant - GreenwichRole: Teaching Assistant
Location: Greenwich (near Maze Hill Station)

About the RoleA friendly Greenwich primary school is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their Year 1 team. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing, play-led learning environment, and the successful Teaching Assistant will support early literacy, phonics, and social development. You’ll work closely with the class teacher, delivering small-group activities and one-to-one learning support.
The role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping young learners build confidence and independence while contributing to a calm and structured classroom.
The Ideal CandidateThe successful Teaching Assistant will:
*Have previous experience supporting children in EYFS or KS1
*Be confident delivering phonics and early literacy tasks
*Show strong communication, empathy, and organisational skills
*Be proactive and able to follow direction as well as use initiative
