The Role

The Strategic buyer role is a full time, permanent position offering flexible and hybrid working.

Day to day duties include:
*Leading global sourcing strategies for assigned commodities
*Supplier selection, contract negotiation and long term agreement management
*Supporting New Product Introduction from concept through to launch
*Driving cost, quality, service and supply improvements across a global supply base
*Collaborating with international suppliers
*Travelling to meet with suppliers to build long lasting relationships

About You

The successful Strategic Buyer will be/ have:
*Proven experience in a Strategic procurement role within engineering or manufacturing
*Strong commercial negotiation skills and confidence analysing cost, pricing and supplier data
*Experience working with international suppliers or multi site manufacturing
*A proactive, motivated mindset
*Ambition to progress quickly in a structured, supportive environment
*Willingness to travel internationally to meet with suppliers
