Cover Supervisor - AndoverProspero Teaching is looking for confident, enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Andover. This role involves stepping into the classroom when teachers are absent, delivering pre-prepared lesson materials, and keeping students focused, engaged, and working productively.
This is a great opportunity for candidates who enjoy working with young people and want hands-on classroom experience. It’s especially suitable for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, youth-work professionals, or anyone with strong communication and leadership skills.
Both full-time and flexible part-time/day-to-day positions are available.
The Role:*Lead lessons using work set by the class teacher
*Supervise classes across a variety of subjects (no planning required)
*Manage behaviour and maintain expectations in line with school policies
*Support students with questions and class tasks
*Work across KS3 & KS4 depending on daily staffing needs
*Provide a calm, structured presence in the classroom
Ideal Candidate:*Experience with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, etc.)
*Confident managing behaviour and addressing challenges
*Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
*Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable covering different subjects
*Graduates or aspiring teachers strongly encouraged to apply

*Pay: Up to £130 per day
*Age Groups: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:*Experience with children or young people required
*Safeguarding training can be provided
*Behaviour management experience helpful
