Temporary School Caretaker - Newcastle
30 Hours per week
ASAP Start
3-Month Temporary Assignment
A busy and well-respected school in Newcastle is seeking a Temporary School Caretaker to join their team on a 30-hour-per-week basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual who takes pride in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment.
The role is due to start immediately and will run for approximately three months.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out general site maintenance, repairs, and upkeep
*Open and secure the school premises, including setting alarms
*Conduct regular health & safety checks and ensure compliance
*Assist with cleaning duties as required
*Manage deliveries, move furniture, and support with school events
*Respond promptly to any maintenance or site issues that arise
Requirements
*Previous caretaking or maintenance experience (school experience desirable)
*Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
*Ability to work independently and take initiative
*Good understanding of health & safety procedures
*Reliable, punctual, and able to start ASAP
