Senior Underwriter - Marine Cargo / Yacht | London
A specialty MGA, part of a global insurance group, is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join its Marine team in London, focusing on Cargo and/or Yacht business.
The Role:
You will be responsible for underwriting and managing a profitable portfolio, developing strong broker relationships, and contributing to the growth and strategy of the Marine division. The position offers exposure to a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with real opportunity to influence underwriting direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite Marine Cargo and/or Yacht risks within agreed appetite
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
Develop and grow a profitable book of business
Contribute to underwriting strategy and portfolio development
Work closely with claims and other internal stakeholders
Requirements:
5-10 years London Market underwriting experience within Marine
Strong background in Cargo and/or Yacht business
Excellent technical underwriting and risk assessment skills
Proven broker relationship management experience
