Supply Chain Coordinator – Food Production
Location: Ashford
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract – 12 months (Immediate Start Required)
Hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 09:00–17:30 (40 hours per week)
Pay:£14.00–£16.00 per hour
Annual Equivalent:£29,120–£33,280 per annum (based on 40 hours)
About the Role
A growing food production and distribution company in Ashford is seeking an organised Supply Chain Coordinator to support their planning and logistics function. You’ll play a key role in ensuring raw materials arrive on time, production plans are followed, and finished goods reach major retailers and foodservice clients on schedule.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
*Supporting the Supply Chain Manager with daily and weekly production planning
*Raising purchase orders for raw materials and packaging, chasing suppliers for confirmations
*Monitoring supplier delivery performance and escalating any delays
*Updating spreadsheets and internal systems with stock levels and delivery dates
*Liaising with the warehouse and transport teams to coordinate outbound deliveries
*Checking delivery notes and resolving discrepancies with goods-in
*Communicating with customers regarding order status, dispatch times and ETAs
*Producing basic reports on stock, OTIF, and supplier performance for internal meetings
Requirements
*Experience in supply chain, logistics, production planning or purchasing admin (food/FMCG desirable but not essential)
*Strong Excel skills (vlookups, basic formulas, data entry with accuracy)
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with numbers and data
*Confident communicator who can liaise with suppliers, customers and internal teams
*Comfortable working in a time-sensitive environment with daily cut-offs
*Right to Work in the UK
*Able to start immediately and work a Tuesday–Saturday pattern
