This is an exciting opportunity for a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager to play a pivotal role in providing exceptional tax advisory and compliance services. Based in Godalming, you will work within the tax department of a professional services firm, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients.

Description
*Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring efficient tax compliance and advisory services.
*Provide guidance on complex tax planning matters, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
*Review tax returns prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
*Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated client solutions.
*Support clients with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
*Identify opportunities to enhance client service and offer value-added tax advice.
*Mentor and develop junior team members to strengthen the department’s capabilities.
*Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate their implications to clients and colleagues.
Profile
A successful Private Client Tax Assistant Manager should have:
*A recognised tax qualification, such as ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent.
*Experience working within a professional services environment in the tax industry.
*Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters, including compliance and advisory services.
*Excellent communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering tailored client solutions.
