SEND Teaching Assistant - Trafford
Full-time, Long-term & Day-to-Day Opportunities Available
Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a range of primary, secondary and specialist SEND schools across Trafford, who are looking for dedicated and reliable SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.
These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs, and who are looking for flexible day-to-day work or more consistent long-term placements.
The role:
*Supporting pupils with SEND such as autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
*Working 1:1 or with small groups to support learning and engagement
*Assisting the class teacher with behaviour management and lesson delivery
*Helping to create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment
*Supporting pupils with routines, transitions and emotional regulation
Types of roles available:
*Day-to-day supply - flexible work to fit around your availability
*Long-term roles - consistent placements within one school
*Temp-to-perm opportunities - potential to secure a permanent role
We are looking for:
*Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, coaching, etc.)
*A calm, patient and resilient approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
Previous SEND experience is beneficial, but we also welcome candidates who are looking to build experience in this area.
