Job Description:
Robert Half Ltd are working with an organisation based in Abingdon that are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join them on a temporary basis. Reporting to a senior payroll lead, you will support payroll delivery, reconciliation, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare and process payroll data accurately and on time
*Validate calculations and support final payroll checks
*Complete monthly variance reconciliations and reporting
*Act as a key contact for HR and employee payroll queries
*Build strong relationships with HR to support a collaborative approach
*Maintain compliance with payroll policies and controls
*Assist with improving and documenting payroll processes
Skills & Experience
*Experience in payroll or finance administration
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Good organisational and time management skills
*Confident communicator with stakeholder-facing experience
*Proficiency in payroll systems and Excel
