About the RoleThe service provides essential 24/7 wraparound support for children and young people in local authority care, particularly during periods of transition and uncertainty. The focus is on creating safe, structured, and nurturing environments while supporting each young person to progress towards a positive future.


Key ResponsibilitiesWhile no two days are the same, your role will involve:
*Providing compassionate, trauma-informed care to ensure young people feel safe and supported
*Building positive, professional relationships and promoting healthy routines
*Supporting daily living activities, including meal preparation, education, and development of life skills
*Advocating for young people to ensure their voices are heard and respected
*Supporting attendance at medical appointments and participation in community activities
*Transporting young people when required (using your own vehicle)
*Encouraging confidence, independence, and readiness for the next stage of their lives


Candidate Requirements*Experience working with children or young people (paid or voluntary)
*A full UK driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle
*Strong interpersonal skills, with patience, empathy, and emotional resilience
*Flexibility to work waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins when required
*A clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
A relevant qualification (NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent) is desirable, but not essential.


What Is OfferedCompetitive pay:
*£17.50ph - £24.00ph PAYE Rate (including holiday pay)
*£20.00ph - £28.00ph Umbrella Rate
