Job Description:
Debt Recovery Officer
Hours: Full time (37 hours)
Salary: £27,008 - £30,294
Location: Hybrid - London
System: Academy & NEC Document Management
Main duties of the job:
*Proactively recovering outstanding payments through outbound calling, referral to debt collection agencies, and County Court recovery
*Carrying out the initial validation of debts
*Maintaining debts throughout the recovery cycle
*Liaising verbally and in writing with debtors, third parties, and internal departments
*Responding to complex correspondence relating to debts
*Dealing with aspects of debt payments, including returned or missing BACS payments, and the issuing or cancelling of payments made
*Preparing write-off recommendations
*Tracing absconded debtors
The successful candidate but have experience of dealing with Non-Domestic Rate debt recovery, knowledge of Non-Domestic Rate debt recovery regulations and processes and confidence using debt recovery and document management IT systems.
