Due to exciting growth and expansion, a highly prestigious financial services company is seeking to hire a Cheque Clearing Officer to join their Operations team. You will be responsible for processing a high volume of customer transactions, ensuring that all work is completely in a timely and accurate manner. You will be expected to provide an efficient and intuitive service to all customers, whilst managing and processing inward and outward cheque / image clearing. Duties of the Clearing Officer to include:
*Processing image clearing in line with procedures. This will include contacting customers and stakeholders for confirmation of payment instructions.
*Manage Inward and Outward Unpaid cheque process.
*Handle incoming Remittances for customers.
*Deal with the receipt / collection / negotiation of foreign cheques.
*Producing Copy statements upon customer request.
*Process Dollar and Euro clearing.
*Producing weekly reconciliation of internal accounts for stakeholders.
Requirements for the successful Clearing Officer:
*Banking experience is essential, with knowledge of remitting CHAPS, SWIFT and reconciliations.
*Clearing subject matter expert, with relevant professional background.
*Candidates must be comfortable liaising with clients and stakeholders, and possess a friendly and professional customer service manner.
