Quality Engineer

Owen Daniels are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in recruiting for a Quality Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with a strong production or manufacturing engineering background, looking to play a key role in driving quality improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
*Manage and lead Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring timely containment, investigation, and closure
*Conduct structured root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys (5Y) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
*Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes
*Monitor quality performance, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement activities
*Support internal and external audits where required
*Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure quality standards are consistently met
Candidate Requirements:
*Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing or production environment
*Strong working knowledge of NCR management, 8D, 5 Whys, and root cause analysis tools
*Background in manufacturing or production engineering would be highly advantageous
*Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical and analytical approach
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
