This business has quickly established itself as a go-to source for bankers, lawyers, and advisors with a rapidly expanding global readership. They are looking for a hungry reporter to deepen their coverage and carve out their own reputation in one of finance’s most complex and fast-moving markets.
You will be given autonomy to develop your source base and break news, while being fully supported to grow into one of the most specialised beats in financial journalism. This is role well suited to an experienced reporter with the instincts and drive to find stories that move markets.
Responsibilities include:
*Building and maintaining a strong book of contacts across bankers, investors, traders and lawyers active in Investment Grade credit
*Breaking exclusive news while balancing longer investigative pieces on market trends
*Collaborating with a team of US- and UK-based reporters to confirm and develop stories
*Attending conferences and industry events to deepen sourcing relationships
Requirements include:
*Proven experience reporting and writing for publication in a specialist financial news environment
*An understanding of fixed income markets, with direct experience covering IG, HY, Loans, CLOs and/or ABS a strong plus
*A demonstrable ability to build trusted sourcing relationships with finance professionals
*The ability to write clearly and concisely, making technical subject matter engaging for a professional readership
