Management Accountant - 12 Month FTC - York (office based with flexibility around hours)
Campbell Grove Talent are working exclusively with a brilliant York based business who are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a 12 month FTC.
This is a big, and busy business where there’s a lot going on across Finance.
If you’re keen to develop quickly and gain hands on exposure to a complex set of accounts, this role will challenge you in a positive way. Realistically, you’ll gain broader experience here over 12 months than you might in many permanent positions.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll support the UK retail management accounts process end-to-end, not just processing numbers, but understanding them.
Day to day, that looks like:
*Supporting the preparation of UK retail management accounts
*Journals, prepayments and accruals
*Producing balance sheet reconciliations
*Getting under the skin of the P&L, supporting it and owning parts of it
*Dealing with credit cards and company expenses
*Responding to queries from across the business and building relationships outside of finance
*Customer payments and related queries
What they’re looking for:
*Ideally qualified CIMA/ACCA/ newly qualified.
*Retail finance exposure would be great, but it’s not essential. It’s a fast moving environment and the accounts reflect that, so you’ll need to be comfortable with pace.
*More than anything, attitude matters. Someone who’s willing to get stuck in, ask questions, and contribute.
*Ideally you’ll need to be able to start at short notice.
