Skills & Experience Required:
*Minimum 3 years’ experience within a similar Container Traffic Operating role, including planning and routing HGV’s
*Sound knowledge of driver’s hours regulations, transportation regulations and safety standards
*Knowledge of UK container port VBS systems, including Destin8
*IT skills, including the use of Microsoft packages and role related software, preferably TOPS
*Strong geographical knowledge of the UK road network
*Ability to work in a fast-paced, often high-pressure environment
*Problem solving and critical thinking abilities


Key Duties & Responsibilities:
*Routing an allocation of vehicles in the most efficient way
*Planning deliveries to ensure they are completed on time, maintaining customer satisfaction while maximising revenue
*Managing an allocation of drivers
*Ensuring drivers operate within their legal working hours
*Building and maintaining strong relationships with drivers and customers
*Ensuring planning accommodates all required fleet maintenance
