Apple Hill is a large nursing home in Maidenhead, with a capacity of 42. The care home cares for and supports younger and elderly adults with mental health conditions. The facility also cares for residents with caring for people whose rights are restricted under the mental health act.
We are seeking a enthusiastic and compassionate Maintenance / Handyman to join our team!
What You’ll be Doing
*Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
*Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address any maintenance issues.
*Ensure all equipment and systems are functioning properly and safely.
*Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
*Maintain the cleanliness and safety of outdoor areas, including gardens and walkways.
*Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and activities within the home.
*Keep accurate records of maintenance work and report any major issues to management.
What You’ll Need
*Proven experience as a maintenance worker or similar role.
*Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
*Ability to handle basic tools and equipment.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills.
*Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings if needed.
