Job Description:
This is a 14 month Early Years Apprenticeship role at a Nursery in Morden.
You will be working at the Nursery 4 days a week and will attend Nescot College Epsom/Ewell every other Friday to attain the Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.
As an apprentice you will be paid for your contracted working and learning hours and there are no course fees.
The next Level 3 Early Years course in planned to start on June 2026.
Progression:
Typical jobs roles following Level 3 Early Years include: playworker, childminder, nursery supervisor, teaching assistant, educational support assistant.
Required qualifications:
GCSE or equivalent in:
*English (grade 4)
*Maths (grade 4)
To be eligible to do an apprenticeship you will need to be a UK citizen or have been a UK resident for the last 3 Years.
Overview of the role:
You will play a key role in ensuring that young children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.
The broad purpose of the occupation is to provide high quality early education and care to children. Through an evidence-based approach, they provide opportunities and learning experiences for all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Early years educators follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements set by government for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to 5 in both indoor and outdoor environments.
You will need to be able to commit to working as an apprentice at least 30 hours per week for the next 14 months and to attend Nescot College for in person training twice a month.
