Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Exeter
An exciting opportunity has opened for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established regional contractor on a permanent basis. Based out of the area, this role will cover a wide range of projects including commercial refurbishments, internals ad externals ranging from £10k up to £5m. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial support to the Commercial Manager and senior management team on multiple projects across the region.
Responsibilities:
*Financial and contractual management
*Reviewing contract terms and conditions with the Commercial Manager
*Procurement and management of all suppliers and subcontractors
*Submission and agreement of client valuations and final accounts
*Ensure variations are reported and costed in a timely manner
*Maximising each project’s cash position
*Monthly CVR reporting
*Managing financial risk and opportunity
*Assist the Contracts Manager with project reporting
*Provide estimating and contracts management support when time permits
*Encourage and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients and supply chain
Requirements:
*Degree qualified desirable or undertaking
*Relevant driving licence
*Strong written, oral communication skills and negotiation
*Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Project
