What’s the job?We’re looking for a caring, reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to support young people (16+) with additional needs in an SEN setting in Ormskirk.
You’ll help students feel supported, stay engaged, and build confidence in a calm, structured environment.
What you’ll be doing:*Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups
*Helping with classwork + life skills
*Encouraging confidence, independence, and routine
*Managing behaviour using calm, supportive techniques
*Working closely with teachers and support staff
*Adapting tasks to suit different learning needs
You’d be a good fit if you:*Have experience with young people (SEN is a bonus, not essential)
*Are patient, calm, and understanding
*Can stay positive, even in challenging situations
*Work well in a team
*Genuinely want to make a difference
Requirements:*Right to work in the UK
*Willing to complete an Enhanced DBS check
*10-year work/education history (with any gaps explained)
*Happy to attend a short registration interview
