A brand-new, specialist secondary school in Chaldon, Surrey, opened last September. We are looking for an intervention-focused Teaching Assistant who understands that "behaviour is communication." This is a unique opportunity to join a founding team and help shape the therapeutic environment for young people aged 11-16 with Autism, sensory processing needs, and emotional regulation challenges.

*Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside a supernumerary intervention team, including therapists and specialists, to deliver a holistic curriculum.

The OpportunityYou will play a pivotal role in supporting students who require a bespoke approach to learning. Your academic background will allow you to:
*Analyse & Adapt: Provide meaningful feedback on student behaviour and attitudes, helping to refine individual learning plans.
*Implement Strategy: Use positive behaviour management and tailored interventions to help students navigate sensory and emotional escalations.
*Foster Independence: Empower students to build self-regulation skills and personal autonomy.
*Safe Environment: Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding and mental wellbeing for every pupil.

*Academic Foundation: A degree in Psychology or a related field.
*Relevant Experience: Prior experience as a TA or in a care setting, specifically working with neurodivergent individuals.
