Town Planner - York (Hybrid/Flexible Working Available)
I’m currently working with a highly respected, independent planning and rural consultancy that is looking to appoint a talented Town Planner to join its growing team based in York. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional who is keen to work on a diverse portfolio of rural, residential, and strategic development projects across the UK.
The RoleAs a Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality planning advice and managing projects from initial appraisal through to determination. You’ll be working closely with a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, supporting clients that range from private landowners to developers and institutional clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
*Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
*Providing clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients
*Managing projects and liaising with stakeholders, local authorities, and consultants
*Supporting senior colleagues on complex and strategic planning projects
About YouI’m keen to speak with candidates who are:
*MRTPI qualified (or working towards chartership)
*Educated to degree level in Town Planning or a related discipline
*Experienced in the UK planning system (private or public sector)
*A strong communicator with excellent report-writing skills
*Proactive, commercially aware, and able to manage multiple projects
