Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a respected and growing accountancy firm based in Northumberland, is seeking a Senior Accountant / Accounts Manager to join their friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys managing client relationships, delivering high-quality accounts and tax work, and supporting the continued growth of a well-established firm.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Accountant, you will manage your own diverse portfolio of clients and be responsible for:
*Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of SMEs and owner-managed businesses
*Completing personal tax returns and corporation tax returns
*Overseeing bookkeeping and VAT work
*Providing ongoing support and advice to clients, ensuring excellent service delivery
*Reviewing work produced by junior team members (where applicable)
*Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
About You
We are looking for an accountant with strong technical knowledge and confidence managing their own client portfolio. The ideal candidate will have:
*ACA/ACCA qualification (fully qualified preferred)
*Part-qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience) candidates will also be considered
*Significant experience within an accountancy practice
*Strong understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance
*Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
*Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
