Are you an experienced Engineering Geologist looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key part in delivering complex ground investigation schemes?
A well-established consultancy based in London is looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Geologist to support a strong pipeline of infrastructure, residential, and commercial developments across the UK.
The Role
As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you’ll be involved in both site and office-based work, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality ground investigation and interpretation.
Key responsibilities include:
*Planning and managing ground investigations
*Supervising site works (drilling, trial pits, logging, sampling)
*Soil and rock logging to current standards
*Producing factual and interpretative reports
*Developing geotechnical models and providing design recommendations
*Managing project timelines, budgets, and client relationships
*Mentoring junior engineers and geologists


Requirements
*Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related field
*Typically 5+ years’ experience in ground investigation / geotechnical consultancy
*Strong logging and report writing experience
*Must live within a commutable distance from London office
*Experience managing site works and subcontractors
*Good understanding of UK standards and guidance
*Working towards (or achieved) Chartership (e.g. CGeol, ICE)
*Full UK driving licence
