Schemes Account Handler/Underwriter – Leading Insurance Broker
Location: Leeds City Centre
Salary: Up to £32,000 + excellent benefits


We are delighted to be supporting a leading Insurance Broker that has recently undergone exciting developments, creating an excellent opportunity for a Schemes Account Handler/Underwriter to join their team in Leeds.


This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, forward-thinking environment where you’ll provide tailored insurance solutions to property based clients.


Key Responsibilities:
*Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, delivering outstanding customer service
*Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their insurance needs and identifying opportunities to enhance cover
*Process new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations, ensuring accurate and compliant client records
*Liaise with insurers to ensure policies meet client requirements and secure favourable terms where possible
*Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and company compliance policies, keeping up to date with regulatory changes
*Collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver seamless client support, sharing knowledge and best practices


What We’re Looking For:
*Experience in insurance, either with personal lines or commercial risks
*A basic understanding of insurance products and market practices
*Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly learn internal systems
*Awareness of FCA regulations and industry compliance requirements
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
*Confident verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, insurers, and internal teams
*A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate issues and offer practical solutions
*Analytical skills to support renewals and related administrative processes
*Progress toward (or willingness to pursue) CII qualifications, with full support provided by the business
*Experience with Acturis is desirable, though full training will be offered
