The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments within the Accounting & Finance department. This role requires strong attention to detail and organisational skills to support the smooth operation of accounts payable functions.

Description
The Accounts Payable Clerk’s responsibilities include:
*Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding and data entry into the accounting system.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
*Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with company policies.
*Communicate effectively with suppliers to address queries and provide payment updates.
*Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and update internal systems as required.
*Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reporting and reconciliations.
*Support the Accounting & Finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks and projects.
*Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies at all times.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
*Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance-related role.
*A strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
*Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records.
*Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
