Job Description:
Due to continued growth and expansion, our client, a highly regarded and forward-thinking estate agency, is seeking an Area Director to oversee operations across Essex.
This is an exciting time to join the business, as they continue to scale their innovative, remote-working model and strengthen their presence across the region. This role offers a genuine opportunity not to be missed for an ambitious and driven individual looking to make a real impact.
You will be responsible for leading, growing, and developing a high-performing team, playing a pivotal role in driving performance, supporting business growth, and building a successful network of remote Sales Valuers, without the constraints of a traditional branch structure.
The successful Area Director will be offered:
*Market-leading salary of up to £55,000
*OTE of up to £95,000 per annum
*Car allowance or company car
*Flexible, remote-first working
*5-day working week
*Opportunity to play a key role in a growing, modern estate agency model
As an Area Director, your duties will be:
*Drive revenue, profitability, and market share across your area
*Attract, recruit, and successfully onboard high-quality talent
*Identify and capitalise on growth opportunities
*Lead, inspire, and performance-manage a remote team of estate agency professionals
*Maintain exceptional levels of customer service and client satisfaction
*Increase instructions, conversion rates, and overall business performance
*Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and team meetings
*Build and nurture relationships with local partners and stakeholders
*Ensure consistent processes, systems, and best practices are followed
*Support, coach, and mentor new starters, particularly during their first 90 days
*Act as a key brand ambassador within your region
*Manage escalations, complex transactions, and customer issues effectively
*Build and maintain a strong pipeline of future team members
*Promote and embed a strong compliance-first culture
*Support and drive marketing and business development activity
*Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture
*Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, AML, and GDPR
To be considered for the Area Director role, you must have:
*Proven leadership experience within estate agency
*Strong commercial awareness and results-driven mindset
*Excellent communication and people management skills
*Ability to coach, influence, and develop others
*Experience in recruiting and training new members of staff
*Experience within hybrid or self-employed agency models
*Self-motivated and target-driven
*Comfortable working remotely with autonomy
*A natural leader who builds trust and drives performance
*Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment
