Secondary SEN Tutor – Merton (PAYE)New Chapter Tuition is seeking a compassionate and experienced Secondary SEN Tutor to support learners across Merton who are currently unable to access mainstream education.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to deliver 1:1 personalised tuition to secondary-aged students with SEMH needs, ADHD, anxiety, or those at risk of exclusion, helping them re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes.
The RoleAs a Secondary SEN Tutor, you will:
*Deliver 1:1 outreach tuition to secondary-aged learners
*Provide sessions in community settings (home, library, or local learning hubs)
*Adapt lessons to meet individual academic and emotional needs
*Build strong, trusting relationships to support engagement and confidence
*Monitor and track progress, working collaboratively with families and professionals
About YouWe’re looking for someone who:
*Has experience supporting young people with SEN (SEMH, ADHD, anxiety, exclusion)
*Has a strong understanding of the UK secondary curriculum
*Is calm, patient, and empathetic in their approach
*Is confident working independently in outreach/community settings
*Can adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
