Band 5 Registered Community Nurse
Short-Term Contract with a Leading NHS Community Service (North & North-East West Midlands)
Fox Morris Group are delighted to be supporting a well-established NHS community healthcare provider in the North and North-East West Midlands region. We are seeking an experienced Band 5 Registered Community Nurse for an ASAP start, working Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, on an initial 12-week contract with an option for extension.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and skilled nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in the community while enjoying a stable, weekday working pattern.
About the Role
As a Community Staff Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients in their own homes, residential settings, and community clinics. You’ll work closely with a supportive multidisciplinary team to:
*Complete holistic assessments and develop tailored care plans
*Deliver a range of clinical interventions (including wound care, catheter & bowel management, tissue viability assessments and disease management support)
*Promote independence, self-management and improved wellbeing
*Prevent avoidable hospital admissions by providing timely, responsive care
*Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records in line with NMC standards
*Communicate sensitively with patients and families, often in emotionally complex situations
*Work autonomously, including lone working in the community
Essential Criteria
To be considered, you must have:
*NMC registration (Adult Nurse)
*Previous community nursing and/or district nursing experience – this is essential
*Confidence working independently across a geographically varied caseload
*Strong clinical assessment, care planning and communication skills
*Ability to start as soon as possible
