Parts Advisor
Annual Salary: £31,000 - £34,000
Location: Exeter
Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated Parts Advisor to join our client’s dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who is sales-oriented, target-driven, and capable of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced trade parts sales environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Receive all parts orders, interpreting customer requirements and providing advice on additional requirements or prices.
*Match orders against stock items and advise customers of any items that are not stocked or need ordering.
*Keep customers and the workshop updated on backorders and part availability.
*Pick all parts from parts stores and allocate to technicians in the workshop accordingly.
*Maximize sales opportunities through upselling and campaigns.
*Be responsible for key account customers; developing sales and opportunities to increase spend.
*Prepare customer orders for dispatch as required, ensuring that they match the customer order and that any shortages are highlighted.
*Ensure that all orders taken are fully completed, invoiced, and dispatched as scheduled, and that the customer is kept fully informed of progress or any problems.
*Maintain the image and levels of customer service within the department in line with company standards.
*Handle customer complaints effectively and speedily, referring any unresolved issues to the immediate supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as a Parts Advisor or similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
*Strong sales orientation and target-driven approach.
*Excellent customer service and communication skills.
*Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
*Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Knowledge of inventory and stock control processes.
