We are working with a growing SME business who require a hands-on Accountant to support with a period of finance clean-up and year-end preparation.
This is a practical, detail-focused role where you will be responsible for getting into the numbers, resolving issues and ensuring the finance function is in a strong position ahead of year-end.
Key responsibilities:*Reviewing and correcting transactional postings
*Identifying and resolving mis-postings and allocation issues
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting preparation for year-end and external accountant queries
*Improving the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting
*Assisting with day-to-day finance tasks as required
About you:*Part-qualified or qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
*Strong attention to detail with a hands-on approach
*Comfortable working at transactional level and working through issues
*Experience within SME environments
*Able to work independently and quickly get up to speed
Additional information:*Immediate start required
*Likely 4–5 days per week (flexible depending on availability)
*On-site initially, with some flexibility once up to speed
*Potential for the role to extend or evolve longer term
