Are you a hands-on Management Accountant looking to step into a unique business? Do you enjoy being part of a close-knit team where no two days are the same?
We’re working with an exciting, growing business in a niche market, offering a unique and vibrant working environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting, enjoys getting stuck into the detail, and is keen to develop their career within a forward-thinking finance team.
The Role
Supporting the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting while overseeing day-to-day finance operations. This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll have real ownership, visibility across the business, and the chance to make a tangible impact.
You’ll be working closely with an Assistant Accountant, helping to guide and develop them, while also partnering with stakeholders across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Overseeing Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
*Reviewing and approving invoices within Oracle NetSuite
*Supporting the production of monthly management accounts and group reporting
*Posting and reviewing journals to maintain accurate financial records
*Completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
*Analysing variances and providing clear, meaningful insight
*Assisting with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packs
*Supporting the Financial Controller with analysis and ad hoc reporting
*Acting as a key point of contact for finance queries across the business
*Mentoring and supporting the Assistant Accountant
What We’re Looking For
*Experience preparing management accounts and working within a finance function
*Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
*A hands-on approach with the confidence to get into the detail
*A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to learn and develop
*A people person - someone who enjoys the office environment
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
*Good Excel skills and overall confidence with systems (NetSuite experience is a bonus)
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit, collaborative team. You’re ambitious, eager to develop, and not afraid to roll your sleeves up and get involved.
Given the nature of the business, you’ll also be happy working in a predominantly office-based role.
What’s On Offer
*A genuinely exciting and unique working environment
*A supportive, close-knit team culture
*Opportunities for development and progression
*A varied, hands-on role with real exposure across the business
If you’re looking for a role where you can combine your technical skills with a dynamic and engaging environment, this could be the perfect next step.
