Audit & Accounts Senior– Practice | Chesterfield
A well-established, multi-disciplinary professional services firm is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing team. With a strong regional presence and a broad client base, they offer a full range of services including accountancy, financial advisory, and corporate support.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a balanced role combining both audit and accounting, with exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and the chance to play a key role in the development of junior team members.
The Opportunity
You will work closely with senior leadership, supporting the delivery of high-quality services across both audit and accounting. This is a hands on role with responsibility for managing assignments from planning through to completion.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading and supporting in the full cycle of audit assignments from start to finish
*Preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for a range of clients
*Managing a mixed portfolio of audit and accountancy clients
*Reviewing work and ensuring compliance with technical standards
*Supporting, mentoring, and developing junior team members
*Building strong client relationships and maintaining high service standards
You will need to be:
*A proactive and motivated individual who enjoys working across both audit and accounts and is confident managing workloads and deadlines.
*Qualified or working towards ACA or ACCA qualification
*From an Accountancy Practice background with at least 3+ years’ experience (audit & accounts)
*Strong attention to detail and technical knowledge
*Extremely organised with excellent attention to detail
*A confident communicator
*A collaborative and forward-thinking individual
