Lifeways are looking for a full time Cook to join our team in Heath Farm, Scopwick.
Heath Farm is a residential service made up of several houses and bungalows providing support to adults with learning disabilities, autism and autistic spectrum disorders, complex needs, mental health issues and challenging behaviours in all aspects of their daily lives.
You will have responsibility for helping prepare and serve freshly cooked meals to our residents whilst maintaining the highest standard of hygiene within the kitchen and adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Applicants must have the ability to follow guidance and instruction, have good organisational skills and be willing to undertake any required training. You must also have the ability to engage with the people we support and form good working relationships with staff.
The successful candidate will have experience of working within a kitchen environment, following menu plans and preparing and serving appetising meals for groups of people.
A REHIS elementary / Intermediate Food Hygiene or equivalent certificate is required. Experience in a care environment would be desirable but not essential.
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 10:30am-5:30pm.
