Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Start Date: Feb 2026 - end of academic year (into Sept 2026)
Location: Bellingham, Lewisham
Contract Type: Full time, long term- 8.30am - 3.30pm
Salary: £110 per day which may increase after 12 weeks (based on experience)

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive primary school environment? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant Primary School in Lewisham to support in a Resource Base for children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Working in a small class for children with additional needs including ASD, Global Delay, ADHD to deliver the curriculum and boost their confidence and skills.
*Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
*Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Ideal Higher Level Teaching Assistant:
*Either a Level 4 + qualification and/or a degree in Early Childhood studies would be beneficial .
*Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
*Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Happy with personal care/nappy changing
*A passion for education and a commitment to fostering student growth and development.
