Job Description:
Our client, a well established company in the London insurance market, seeks an experienced catastrophe modeller to lead their catastrophe modelling function within the P&C Wholesale division, supporting delegated authority and open market brokers with US account placements.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Delivering cat modelling analysis and presenting results to brokers, underwriters and clients
*Developing team workflows, reporting tools and data quality standards
*Managing vendor relationships and event response reporting
*Training and mentoring junior team members
*Keeping up-to-date with advancements in the modelling field
*Assisting other divisions when required
Experience and skills required:
*Advanced catastrophe modelling experience - Moody’s (RMS) Risk Modeller preferred
*GeoSpatial experience
*Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
*Proficient in Excel, SQL and Power BI; Python/R/VBA a plus
*Cat modelling qualification preferred; ACII desirable
