Salary: Competitive (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full Time, Permanent (Part Time considered)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:15pm (Term Time Only)
About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and resilient Teacher to join an Alternative Provision setting in Ormskirk, working with pupils in Years 10 and 11.
This is a varied role, delivering English, PSHE, Drama, and general cover lessons to students who may be disengaged from mainstream education. You’ll play a key role in rebuilding confidence, supporting behaviour, and helping pupils achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver engaging and adaptable lessons across English, PSHE, Drama, and general subjects
*Differentiate teaching to meet a range of needs, including SEMH
*Manage behaviour effectively and create a calm, supportive environment
*Track and monitor pupil progress
*Build strong relationships to support engagement and wellbeing
*Work closely with staff, families, and external professionals
What We’re Looking For*QTS (or equivalent) - unqualified teachers with relevant experience considered
*Experience teaching at secondary level (KS4 desirable)
*Strong behaviour management skills
*Experience with SEMH or Alternative Provision (desirable)
*A flexible, patient, and resilient approach
*Passion for supporting young people who need additional support
